Stories have helped me heal. I am a survivor of sexual assault.
As a writer and a survivor, I’ve discovered that our minds do not understand a thing fully until we can tell ourselves a story about it. This is true for individuals and societies. What we often don’t realize is that we have a choice as to what stories we tell ourselves and each other.
