Wick’s workshop

Wick’s workshop is portable. While its home address is Regent Street, it has traveled to Fez, Morocco, and Barnet, Vermont. The traveling tools include pencils, paper, tracing paper, wood blocks, and a roll of hand carving tools. The studio on Regent Street is where most of the printing with ink takes place.

These are the carving tools, and they roll up in the Japanese bamboo traveling sheath.

Wick often inks up the woodblock during carving to see the details better. The block he’s working on is for Poor Owen, an illustration of the rich merchant’s daughter, Jewel.
